Ewii is headquartered in Kolding, but the company is now moving into the German market. The Danish energy group has thus landed a contract with the German utility company Stadtwerke Bonn. With the signing of the contract, Ewii will in future deliver an advanced software system for calculating electricity and natural gas products to the German company. This is stated by Ewii in a press release.
The software system will help the German utility company optimize internal processes and identify customer needs. Large, complex calculations that have previously been performed manually can now be performed in seconds with both greater security and precision. The system was developed by the group's Aalborg-based subsidiary Ewii Midas Energy, and the agreement is a significant step into the German market.
- We are incredibly pleased that Ewii Midas Energy's system has proven to be competitive. We have high expectations for the platform, which is specially developed for the energy sector, and now we get a showcase in a huge market abroad. This is the first step on a really exciting journey, says Lars Bonderup Bjørn, CEO of the Ewii Group.
Ewii Midas Energy is just one of the companies in the Ewii Group that has moved into Germany. Ewii's trading business, which specializes in buying and selling renewable energy in particular, is well underway in establishing itself in the German market.
- Germany is an important trading market that the other European markets rely on. In the long term, it gives us the opportunity to enter other markets and offer other products. And here the agreement between Ewii Midas Energy and Stadtwerke Bonn helps to strengthen our entire value chain in Germany, says Lars Bonderup Bjørn.
