Mads Nipper has resigned as CEO of Ørsted, and commercial director and deputy CEO Rasmus Errboe will take over as CEO from Saturday.
There has been speculation about Nipper's departure for some time, after the energy group was hit by large write-downs worth billions and headwinds on the stock exchange. Therefore, it was perhaps not a big surprise, which the price development also reflected in a way.
Ørsted ended the day 0.3 percent higher at DKK 278.10. Since Mads Nipper's accession at the beginning of 2021, the share has fallen almost 80 percent, or has had its market value reduced by almost DKK 500 billion.
