Interest in energy, electricity prices and the green transition has grown significantly in recent years. That is why Green Power Denmark is now launching a new digital knowledge bank that will gather knowledge about the energy sector in one place. The trade organization states this in a press release.

The new platform, "Knowledge about Energy", will function as a reference work with explanations, analyses and data on, among other things, electrification, electricity grids, biomass and the development of renewable energy. According to Green Power Denmark, the purpose is to create a more informed basis for the debate about the green transition.

- The energy sector is complex, but never before have we experienced so many different target groups seeking information or who simply want to understand what is up and down. As a spokesperson for the entire green energy industry, we have a thorough knowledge of how it works – both in depth and in breadth. And I believe we have an obligation to make that knowledge as accessible as possible to more people, says Thomas Aarestrup Jepsen, political director at Green Power Denmark.

The organization points out that the energy sector is increasingly playing a role in both business and politics and the everyday lives of Danes. At the same time, the need for easily accessible knowledge has increased in line with debates about climate, security of supply and competitiveness.

The knowledge bank will be continuously updated with new analyses and calculations from Green Power Denmark. This includes the organization's Energy Barometer on the expansion of onshore wind turbines and solar cells, as well as figures for exports of energy technology and energy services.
