VIKING has appointed Mira Nielsen as new CFO effective from March 4. The company writes in a press release.
The appointment follows a thorough recruitment process that began in the autumn and was completed before Christmas, when then CEO Henrik Uhd Christensen and Mira Nielsen reached an agreement.
With Mira Nielsen, VIKING is adding a finance profile with extensive international experience. She has worked in several large companies in Europe and the USA, including as VP Finance Management Support and part of the General Management Team at Tryg and most recently as CFO for Falcks Ambulance Services in California, USA.

Mira Nielsen replaces Gert Lillebæk, CFO at VIKING for the past 24 years. Gert Lillebæk will remain with the company to ensure a smooth transition and will also continue on the executive board until a successor has been appointed for the recently deceased CEO Henrik Uhd Christensen. After that, Gert Lillebæk will move to a consulting position for the new CEO.
