There has long been frustration among employees at subcontractor Altrad, which two weeks ago threatened to paralyze production in the Danish part of the North Sea. Now it seems that the dissatisfaction has been heard, because on Thursday the parties will meet for the first time in a long time. This is following a written request from the workers' representative to Altrad's management, in which he, among other things, indicates that it is difficult to maintain peace at work, as a result of the frustration among employees over the negotiations, writes JydskeVestkysten.
"They have given me the following to report to management, and they demand a response within a week. Altrad must be on the field again, and solutions must be found before October 1. The demand is 12 kroner more on the basic salary. If this does not happen, action will be taken accordingly," writes the shop steward.
The approx. 600 Altrad employees in the North Sea are demanding a pay increase, as they believe they have a salary gap compared to their colleagues at other subcontractors such as Semco Maritime, SubC Partner and not least other Altrad employees on land in, for example, Fredericia. Altrad Services CEO Jens Mørk confirms that he will meet with 3F on Thursday, but has no further comments on the situation.
