Semco Maritime already works with DUC and TotalEnergies in several areas, but now this cooperation is being expanded.
Engineering companies have been awarded a 5-year contract to supply field support personnel to staff core positions and individual tasks for TotalEnergies Denmark on behalf of the Danish Underground Consortium.
The contract comes into effect in July 2023 and includes offshore positions for operations operators, permit coordinator assistants, HSE supervisors and laboratory technicians, Semco Maritime said in a statement.
According to Semco, it was selected for the contract based on its understanding of the Danish rules and legislation in the area as well as TotalEnergies' very specific needs.
"Based on the unique understanding of the local conditions and the long-term cooperation between the parties, the contract creates significant value and ensures tangible synergies," reads the statement from Semco. Anders Benfeldt, Senior Vice President, Oil & Gas, Semco Maritime elaborates:
- We greatly appreciate the vote of confidence from TotalEnergies in Semco Maritime with this order for production crew, which will contribute to the continued operation of the Danish Underground Consortium's offshore installations for the next five years. This is a crucial order for Semco Maritime, and we look forward to continuing and expanding the collaboration with TotalEnergies.
The contract follows several years of constructive collaboration with TotalEnergies, which includes, among other things, a second 5-year agreement on crewing and services from November 2022 and the ongoing reconstruction of the Tyra field.
