NKT's success continues. In its recently published interim report for the third quarter of 2025, the cable manufacturer presents strong results.
The company achieved revenue of 726 million euros (approximately 5.4 billion kroner) measured in standard metal prices, corresponding to an increase of 69 million euros (approximately 510 million kroner) compared to the same period the previous year. This corresponds to 11 percent organic growth, and operational EBITDA reached a record high of 119 million euros (approximately 890 million kroner). This corresponds to an Operational EBITDA margin of 16.9 percent. The net result also offers an increase of 10 million euros and is at 67 million euros. (approximately 500 million kroner)
The company emphasizes that the growth is borne by all business areas. In 'Solutions', it was driven by a high level of activity and good project execution, while 'Applications' benefited from increasing demand for cable solutions for the distribution network. In 'Service & Accessoriesø', growth was driven, among other things, by offshore repairs.
- We are satisfied with the financial development in the third quarter of 2025, which shows solid results with a record high operational EBITDA driven by high activity across all business areas. In the quarter, we confirmed our strong market position with the announcement as preferred supplier for the British interconnector Eastern Green Link 3 and the firm order for the offshore cable system for Energiø Bornholm in Denmark. We also continued to drive forward our investments in production and installation capacity to meet the high demand for our cable solutions, says Claes Westerlind, CEO of NKT.
The investment program in the high-voltage business is progressing as planned, including the expansion of the factory in Karlskrona and the construction of the cable ship NKT Eleonora, which is expected to be operational from 2027.
NKT maintains its financial guidance for 2025, but now expects to land at the upper end of the ranges with revenue of around EUR 2.65-2.75 billion (approx. DKK 19.8-20.6 billion) and an operational EBITDA of EUR 360-390 million (approx. DKK 2.7-2.9 billion).
