One of the key suppliers to Denmark's largest offshore wind farm, Thor, is now likely to move into the Port of Odense soon. Thus, the Chinese Dajin Heavy Industry Co., has reserved an area of 100,000 square meters. at the Port of Odense. The port informs on its website.

Previously, Dajin's monopiles have been stored in Eemshaven in the Netherlands, but now Dajin will expand its storage operations and cooperate with the Port of Odense on the storage of large offshore wind foundations.

Dajin is, among other things, a major supplier to German RWE, to which the Chinese will deliver 140 monopiles. 36 of these will be delivered to Thor, Denmark's largest offshore wind farm with a capacity of 1 GW. These monopiles will therefore most likely be shipped from Odense.

"The Port of Odense is excited to enter into this commercial partnership with Dajin and looks forward to developing the collaboration over time. The Port of Odense aims to provide the necessary port infrastructure for warehousing operations aimed at the international offshore wind industry and thereby support the deployment of offshore wind farms throughout Europe for many years to come," says the Port of Odense.
