The Port of Esbjerg has presented its annual report for 2024, which shows a profit of 89.4 million DKK against 73.3 million DKK in 2023. The profit was realized from a turnover of 313.5 million DKK. As a result of the accounts, the port now has equity of 1,312.6 million DKK.

"The year's result is better than expected, as a result of the increased interest in renting the Port's areas and is considered satisfactory," reads the management report in the accounts.

2024 has been characterized by increased demand for warehouse space and increasing activity in freight transport, especially driven by wind turbine goods and imports of new cars. There are positive expectations for the level of activity in 2025, especially in light of upcoming projects from the wind turbine industry.

The port expects continued growth in business in the current financial year and is therefore budgeting for an increased level of activity compared to 2024.

"It is expected that the wind turbine industry will have more projects out of the Port of Esbjerg, which will also contribute to increased activity in the crane department. In addition, an increased import of new cars is budgeted. However, the ordinary operating profit is expected to be in the range of DKK 50 to 60 million as a result of the increased depreciation on the many investments made in recent years," the port states in the annual report.
