The port partnership was launched at the end of April by Minister of Industry, Trade and Industry Morten Bødskov (S), Minister of Transport Thomas Danielsen (V) and Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard (M). The total of 16 members of the partnership will make recommendations on how the Danish commercial ports should be developed in the future, especially in connection with the green transition.

The recommendations will be made around the turn of the year, which means that the partnership is approximately halfway through its work. The members come from organizations that are involved in port operations in one way or another. These are the trade organization Danish Ports, CO-Industri, which has two seats, Green Power Denmark, Danish Business, Danish Industry, Danish Offshore, Danish Shipping, Danish Maritime, KL, Brintbranchen, Insurance and Pension, Danish Fisheries Association, Danish Shipping and Port Companies. Danish Offshore has chosen Christina Heineke Petersen, managing director & head of country services at TotalEnergies Upstream Denmark, to represent the Danish oil and gas industry's member organization. She has no doubt why the port partnership was launched.

- In the offshore industry, we find it extremely important that the Danish ports are at the forefront of the rapid development taking place in the energy sector, says Christina Heineke Petersen and elaborates on the reason, which largely has to do with green initiatives and the development of much larger future projects:

- In addition to our classic business areas within oil and gas, the Danish ports will in the future also be the center for CO2 storage, offshore wind and green fuels, and this makes the ports vital hubs in ensuring efficient and scalable solutions for transhipment, transport and production.

It is a task that both Dansk Offshore and Total are ready to guide the government on in the port partnership.

- We look forward to contributing to creating the right framework conditions for the Danish ports, it says.

The assembly of members includes the 15 members and the chairman Christina Grumstrup Sørensen, senior partner at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), which develops offshore wind projects on a global scale. In addition to the 16 members, 19 more professionals from the individual organizations have gathered, only Danish Business and Danish Offshore have no assistants at the table.

- My impression from the first two meetings is that we have put the right people around the table, says Christina Heineke Petersen in conclusion.
