
71-year-old Verner Andersen had his last working day at Semco on September 13, where he was celebrated at a closed reception without the press.
Verner Andersen worked as vice president at Semco for 12 years, from 2009 to 2021. During that period, the company's revenue grew from one billion DKK to five billion DKK. In 2021, he became a senior advisor at the company. Before his time at Semco Maritime, Verner Andersen had been employed at Monberg & Thorsen, ABB and Pon Power, among others.
Verner Andersen is originally a trained electrical installer and has since had an extensive career in the offshore industry, where he is particularly known for his great commitment and outgoing personality. Although he will now have more time with his wife Bente, and he has retired quietly, he is already receiving offers for coffee meetings from companies in Esbjerg. Verner Andersen likes coffee, but whether it leads to more is another matter.
