Evida CO2 and Baker Hughes have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement to support the development of a safe and efficient CO2 infrastructure in Denmark. The agreement was formally signed in April 2025, but is only being announced now. The agreement aims to promote CO2 capture and storage as part of meeting Denmark's national climate goals. This is according to Evida.

Evida CO2 is a subsidiary of Evida and is tasked with establishing a pipeline infrastructure for the transport of CO2 in Denmark. The company will contribute its experience in safe pipeline transport, while Baker Hughes will supply process equipment for industrial applications. The agreement will enable CO2 from capture plants to be transported to storage in a cost-effective manner.

- Baker Hughes is a market-leading manufacturer of CO2 process equipment, which can contribute with deep experience and expertise to the development of a new market in Denmark. Combined with Evida CO2's competencies and the more than 40 years of experience in operating the gas network safely and efficiently, which Evida CO2 stands on the shoulders of, Baker Hughes is the ideal partner for us, and we are very much looking forward to the collaboration, says Henrik Jensen, CCO at Evida.

According to Baker Hughes, it is crucial to establish the necessary infrastructure if Denmark is to achieve its climate goals for CO2 reduction. The collaboration will therefore contribute to accelerating the implementation of large-scale transport solutions.

- We are proud to work with Evida and bring our broad portfolio of CCUS solutions to play. We look forward to jointly accelerating the implementation of a safe and cost-effective CO2 transport infrastructure to support Denmark's ambitious CO2 reduction goals, says Alessandro Bresciani, Senior Vice President Climate Technology Solutions at Baker Hughes.

Evida CO2 is currently preparing for the first possible pipeline connections in line with market needs and the timeline for the Danish CCS tender.
