30 projects around universities and companies, which aim to develop and demonstrate new, green energy technologies, can now look forward to receiving support from EUDP's first distribution of funds in 2024. In total, the projects have received support for 207 million DKK, the Danish Energy Agency states in a statement.

- The green transition requires us to constantly develop technologies and find new solutions. Therefore, it is important that we make room on the energy scene for new energy technology projects like the 30 that are now receiving funding from EUDP. I look forward to following the development of the projects, for example the work on developing an automated CO2 capture plant for smaller plants, says Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities, Lars Aagaard (M).

In the spring, EUDP received 78 applications for a total of 863 million DKK. This means that 38 percent of the of the applicants are now pleased to have received commitments, and approximately a quarter of the applied for support is being implemented.

- We on the board are pleased that there has once again been great interest in EUDP. This gives us the opportunity to launch a wide range of promising projects that address various challenges and complexities in the energy system, while at the same time supporting the green transition. I look forward to following the many exciting projects and seeing the innovative technologies come off the ramp, says Kim Lehmann, chairman of the EUDP board.

Among the projects that have received funding commitments are, among others, a solution to optimize traffic, an intelligent and energy-saving solution for ventilation systems and an automated CO2 capture system for biogas plants.

Since 2007, EUDP has supported the work of companies and universities to develop and demonstrate new, green energy technologies. Over the years, the program has initiated over 1,200 innovative projects and awarded more than 6.2 billion kroner.
