Small and medium-sized enterprises in South and North Jutland will receive almost DKK 30 million in support from the Just Transition Fund to strengthen their green technologies and contribute to the transition towards a climate-neutral economy. This is according to the Danish Business Authority.

The support will help the enterprises invest in new technology, certifications and skills, which are often a barrier to the green transition in smaller enterprises. The funds will be given to projects within Power-to-X, pyrolysis, circular economy and CO2 capture, among other things.

- We know that SMEs play a crucial role in the green transition, and as subcontractors to the green value chains, they help ensure that Denmark succeeds in developing and scaling the technologies that will bring us to the goal of the green agenda. That is why I am pleased that SMEs in both North and South Jutland are receiving a significant helping hand to advance precisely that agenda, says Peter Hansen, chairman of the recommendation committee for the Just Transition Fund.

Among the supported projects is Waste2Value, which in collaboration with GAS PRO, R. Jensen Service and Plast Center Denmark will develop a laboratory-based demonstration plant. The goal is to improve and scale up the production of biopellets for use in pyrolysis.

The Just Transition Fund has allocated a total of DKK 636 million until 2027 for activities in North and South Jutland, including support for SMEs working with green solutions and technologies.
