Ørsted announced on Tuesday that it is saying goodbye to two members of the company's group management in the form of Group CFO Daniel Lerup and Group COO Richard Hunter.
According to Sydbank's head of equity research, Jacob Pedersen, a simultaneous farewell to both a CFO and a COO is rare, and should be seen in light of "how big and drastic problems Ørsted has run into in a very short time." According to Ørsted, the dismissals were made by mutual agreement. However, Jacob Pedersen does not buy that explanation.
- I think so, I would call it a dismissal. This has a lot to do with wanting to show action, but it is not just about signals. It is also about a market that has changed, and whether they have the right people to manage it, he tells Ekstra Bladet.
The head of equity research indicates that he understands the dismissal, but that it is difficult to assess whether the two now former Ørsted directors are to blame for the current crisis at Ørsted.
