20,000 households in Roskilde had to do without electricity for a few hours before it was restored around 10 pm on Thursday evening. This is reported by TV 2 and DR, who have been in contact with the electricity grid company Radius.

Radius has explained that there were problems with a transformer station on the outskirts of Roskilde in the direction of Hedehusene.

This is not the first time in recent months that a large area in Denmark has been hit by a power outage. At the end of August, 102,000 electricity customers in the capital area were without electricity on a Monday morning. At that time, it was due to a fault at a transformer station in Ejby near Rødovre.

Radius operates the electricity grid, which supplies almost a million homes and businesses in the capital area, in North Zealand and in parts of Central Zealand.
