NRGi satisfied with financial results but warns of slow pace of electrification

NRGi has ended 2024 with a result of 337 million DKK, while significant investments have been made in green infrastructure. Based on the group's financial results in 2024, the cooperative members connected to NRGi's grid company Konstant Net will, as in 2023, receive a 20 percent discount on grid tariffs and subscriptions, the energy group announced in a press release.

During the year, the group achieved revenue of 3.7 billion DKK, an EBITDA of 476 million DKK and strengthened its activities, among other things, through the acquisition of Scanenergi and Energy Solutions. At the same time, the grid company Konstant has invested 300 million DKK in the expansion and maintenance of the electricity grid in Eastern Jutland.

In the announcement, NRGi calls the result "satisfactory", but at the same time points out that in a time characterized by geopolitical unrest and climate change, the transition to electricity-based energy consumption must happen faster in order to meet future needs.

- We are satisfied with the year's result, where our business activities have generally performed better than our announced expectations for 2024. But we also face a societal task that is becoming more urgent year by year and that requires major investments in the future. Electrification is progressing too slowly - and that is putting climate ambitions under pressure, says Jacob Vittrup, CEO of NRGi.

In 2025, NRGi expects to increase revenue to over four billion. DKK and achieve a result of 290-310 million. DKK.

- We are here to create value for our members - both financially and socially. That is why we invest long-term, sustainably and with a focus on future energy needs, says Jacob Vittrup.
