Norlys director also expects a loss next year

Large investments also cost money to integrate, and therefore Norlys is prepared for more deficits.

Telecom and energy company Norlys also expects a negative bottom line in 2025. Last year, the deficit was DKK 60 million after tax. According to CEO Gert Vinther Jørgensen, this is because Norlys is still in the process of integrating the many companies the company has acquired in recent years.

- We are budgeting for a larger deficit in 2025 because it costs to integrate companies, says Gert Vinther Jørgensen, CEO of Norlys.

Norlys is currently in the process of integrating Telia Danmark and also expects to receive approval for the acquisition of Ewii's fiber network this year. Therefore, there is a prospect of continued expenses associated with the integration work.

This is in line with the company's change in strategy, where the focus is now on consolidating the business rather than buying new companies.

The TV and Internet business in particular has caused problems. Last year, it burdened the result with a three-digit million amount, and the transition to new IT systems has caused difficulties for many customers.

- These are old systems with many years of experience, which we are phasing out, says Gert Vinther Jørgensen.

Norlys dismissed three directors in September due to "disappointing results" in connection with the integration of Telia's Danish mobile business.
