Plans for solar panels, wind turbines, biogas plants and other energy projects rarely arouse enthusiasm in local communities. But that is not the case in Gørlev. Here, plans for an energy park with solar panels, a hydrogen plant, a biogas plant and a pyrolysis plant that will function in symbiosis with agriculture are mainly welcomed by the neighbors and met with support from the local council. This is reported by TV2 Øst.
- It is innovative, and it will contribute both to jobs and district heating for the city, so we are very positive about it, says Søren Juul Nerenst, chairman of the Gørlev and Surroundings local council, and indicates that the local council believes the project "will benefit the whole of Gørlev and surrounding areas".
However, it is not the neighbors who can decide whether the project should be realized. But I wonder if positive tones from the neighbors are an advantage when the project is to be discussed in the Kalundborg municipal council at the meeting on August 28.
