Ukraine attacked several Russian energy facilities with drones on Monday. The attacks have caused several fires at large oil refineries and gas processing plants in southern Russia, according to both Russian and Ukrainian authorities.

According to Andrei Bocharov, governor of the Russian city of Volgograd, the fires were caused by fallen drone debris. The Russian Defense Ministry said its air defenses had intercepted and destroyed 70 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight.

There were no reports of injuries, said Astrakhan Governor Igor Babushkin. The Russian governors did not say which facilities were damaged in the attacks.
