In January 2023, Equinor took over ownership of BeGreen. At the time of the acquisition, BeGreen had a project pipeline in Denmark, Sweden and Poland. The pipeline the company is now focusing on will expand into Germany.
BeGreen has now decided to enter the German energy market. This is happening with the appointment of former CEO of German Pfalzsolar GmbH, Lars Josten, who has joined BeGreen to lead the company's German business, the company said in a statement.

The integrity and long-term focus in all parts of the company made it a unique opportunity that I could not say no to. Chief executive appointment is "a true gift"
Lars Josten has worked in various positions in the solar energy industry in Germany for the past 15 years and brings extensive and valuable expertise to BeGreen. He has been honored as one of Energy Box's CEOs of the Year 2023, among other things. BeGreen's CEO, Anders Dolmer, sees the appointment of Josten as an important part of getting BeGreen well established in Denmark's big neighbor to the south.

Lars Josten will establish the new division in Germany and will start by setting up an office in Berlin. BeGreen hopes to open the doors to the new office in the coming months.
