Energy and fiber network group Andel will now become a major sponsor of the football club FCK and will, among other things, be on the jersey of FCK's women's team. But that is only part of the agreement that the parties themselves describe in a press release as a "strategic, innovative energy partnership with a focus on the green transition of Denmark's national stadium".

The partnership is based on a shared vision of focusing on the necessity of green transition, and over a five-year period, extensive energy renovations will be carried out and new green solutions will be implemented in the Parken.

- Our goal is to make Denmark's national stadium a beacon for green transition, where innovative energy solutions show the way for how sport and climate action can go hand in hand. With football as a central part of Danish culture, we have a unique opportunity to inspire both companies and fans to take an active part in the green transition. Through our energy partnership, we show that the climate fight is not only a necessity, but also an opportunity to create a greener future for everyone, says Andel's CEO, Jesper Hjulmand.

The partnership is part of F.C. Copenhagen's platform, ForKBH, which aims to increase the club's social engagement and contribution to the Danish capital.

The first phase of the agreement includes, among other things: Entering into a Power Purchase Agreement from Solcellepark Vedde, which will thus supply green electricity to Parken. Charging infrastructure from Andel's company Clever, which makes it easier for visitors and residents in the area to charge electric cars. In addition, Andel will also advise on energy efficiency and consumption flexibility, where Parken's electricity consumption is balanced in relation to the supply of renewable energy and price fluctuations.

- F.C. Copenhagen has a responsibility to take part in society and influence developments in its own home and around us. It is an essential part of our strategy that we must use our size and impact to make a difference. With this partnership, we are leaving another positive mark on Copenhagen and contributing to the city's goal of becoming CO2 neutral, says F.C. Copenhagen CEO, Jacob Lauesen.

The parties will jointly develop several solutions, which may include, for example, solar cells and batteries that can be charged when electricity prices are low and there is plenty of renewable energy in the electricity grid.
