Swedish Alight, which develops, owns and operates solar parks as an independent power producer, has officially inaugurated Lidsø Solar Park in Lolland Municipality. The solar park with a capacity of 215 MW was developed, constructed and connected to the grid by European Energy in the third quarter of 2025.

The project was handed over to Alight earlier this year and is now supplying renewable electricity to two customers through Power Purchase Agreements. This is stated by European Energy in a press release.

-We are very proud to inaugurate one of Denmark's largest solar parks. Lidsø will be an important part of the Danish green transition and shows that solar energy can contribute on a large scale. Thanks to long-term partnerships, we can add new sustainable capacity to the Danish electricity grid and at the same time strengthen our position in the Nordic market, says Warren Campbell, CEO of Alight.

Construction of the plant began in 2024 and was completed earlier this year. The project is an example of European Energy's strategy to develop large-scale renewable energy projects in collaboration with local stakeholders.

- The completion and inauguration of Lidsø Solar Park marks the transition from development to full operation. The project has been delivered as planned and is now contributing to the production of renewable electricity in Denmark, says Jens-Peter Zink, Deputy CEO of European Energy.
