The Danish company Ænergy has entered into an agreement to sell the majority of the Kroghøj solar farm to the Norwegian energy company Endra.
According to an announcement from Ænergy, Endra will take over 70 percent of the farm, which is located in Denmark. This will make the Norwegian company, which is owned by Haugaland Kraft, the new main shareholder.
The remaining 30 percent of the ownership shares will remain divided between Ænergy's two owners: KP Sol og Vind and Jysk Energi Invest, which will each hold 15 percent.
The Kroghøj solar farm has a capacity of 44 megawatt-peak (MWp) and an expected annual electricity production of 52 gigawatt-hours (GWh), equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 13,000 households. The park is equipped with a tracker system that optimizes the production of solar cells.
According to Morten Porse, CEO of Ænergy, the sale of the solar park is a milestone for the company:
- It confirms the strength of our projects and shows that even in a market with great uncertainty, there are investors who see the long-term value in green energy, he says.
