VARDE: In the coming years, Denmark will face a profound green transition, and Varde Municipality has a central geographical location in the construction of the enormous infrastructure that will move energy from the West Coast and on to both Denmark and abroad.
Therefore, the City Council of Varde Municipality invites you to a conference on November 14, 2024. The theme of this conference is the green industry, and how this will affect Varde Municipality's local community.
"New industries can bring development and jobs to Varde Municipality, which can create the basis for increased settlement and tax base. But development also brings dilemmas and difficult choices. How do we make room for people, nature and new construction, so that we continue to have vibrant local communities that thrive? Varde Municipality wants to create an open dialogue about this at the conference," reads the announcement from Varde Municipality.
The conference will include, among other things: will be presentations from Ørsted, Kristian Borch, associate professor in energy planning at Aalborg University and Varde Municipality's own employees Karoline Klaksvig, director of Planning, Culture and Technology, and Trine Lyhne, head of Planning and GIS.
