HELSINGØR: The Technical Museum in Helsingør was supposed to move to the Svanemølle mill in Nordhavn in 2026, but it will not happen. The move is taking longer than expected, according to director of the Technical Museum Jens Refslund Christensen. This is reported by sn.dk.
- It will not be in 2026, but I cannot say exactly when it will be. It is a very large and complex project. But there is good progress, and there is support all the way around. The transformation of the Svanemølle power plant will be put out to tender in an architectural competition in the spring, and much depends on the bids that come in as to how long it will take, he tells the media.
The museum is currently located in an industrial district, far from the center of Helsingør, and the premises are unheated, so according to the director it is almost colder inside than outside.
