ADP A/S posted strong results in 2024 with significant growth in both cargo volume, revenue and investments, despite a turbulent year in the transport industry.

The company increased revenue by 15 percent, made investments of DKK 611.3 million and ended with an annual result of DKK 93.4 million. According to the board of directors, the accounts are satisfactory, especially in light of the continued geopolitical tensions that have affected the industry. The board of directors considers the year's financial results to be satisfactory. The company stated this in a statement.

- ADP has once again emerged strongly from a changeable year in the transport industry, which was affected by the continued geopolitical tensions. ADP grew in cargo over quays in both Fredericia and Nyborg and realized large investments in Taulov Dry Port. Although the interest expenses on the large investments, among other things, affected the accounts, ADP has delivered a healthy, satisfactory result. Great results come from talented people – thanks for the good effort to everyone at ADP, says Christian Herskind, Chairman of the Board at ADP.

The Port of Fredericia handled 23 percent more containers than the previous year, while turnover on dry bulk in Nyborg increased by 62 percent. In addition, 87,000 m² of storage and logistics facilities were completed in Taulov Dry Port, and A.P. Møller Mærsk opened a low-emission warehouse.

- There is increasing interest from shipping companies in ADP ports. This can be clearly seen in the tonnage for 2024, but dialogues were also initiated that will increase the volumes of goods over the quay in the future. Therefore, the completion of the port expansion in Fredericia is particularly welcome, and the same applies to Nyborg Port, where we initiated an exciting process to expand the port during 2024, says Rune D. Rasmussen, CEO of ADP.

Several new initiatives

During the year, ADP initiated a partnership with TotalEnergies and Evida on CO? storage and entered into an agreement with Thisted Municipality on future co-ownership of Hanstholm Port.

- There is no doubt that 2024 has been a decisive year for ADP, where some significant projects have been launched, which in the long term will give ADP a greater role on the international port scene, says Rune D. Rasmussen, CEO of ADP.

At the same time, the mayors of the owner municipalities of Fredericia and Nyborg report strong support for ADP's development and importance for local growth.

- ADP is a benefit for the municipalities in which ADP operates port operations, and this is sometimes taken for granted. ADP is of national interest, and we should be proud that we in Fredericia have a port of such great national importance. Furthermore, the port plays a central role in providing jobs and thus an active urban life in Fredericia. We must jointly protect this, states Christian Bro, mayor of Fredericia Municipality.
