A farmer in southern Jutland is considering getting rid of his cows after the animals have been exhibiting abnormal behavior for over a year. Gregers Kristensen suspects Energinet's large converter station at Revsing near Vejen in southern Jutland of affecting the animals' well-being. This is what JV.dk writes.
- We have now tried to investigate this thoroughly for 14 months. We can only conclude that now we have no more levers to pull,
says Gregers Kristensen.
He has asked experts to assess whether the cows can be moved to another property. The alternative is slaughter. The barn was originally designed for 400 animals, and the farmer describes it as a major financial loss. However, he emphasizes that for him it is more about focusing attention on the problem, which he believes also exists in other places.
He says that the cows began to drink each other's urine after the station was put into use just 120 meters from the barn.
- For me, the matter is fairly clear, says Gregers Kristensen, who has had measurements carried out, which according to him show an unusually large number of live connections between the barn and the plant.
Energinet has previously denied that the plant emits electricity that can affect animals.
