After a number of years of massive growth, investments in Danish green startups have slowed down significantly. This is reported by Børsen.
In the first half of 2025, investments in green Danish ventures fell by a whopping 84 percent. This is due, among other things, to recent bankruptcies and crises among green beacons.
First, the Swedish battery manufacturer Northvolt went bankrupt, followed shortly after by the Danish green technology company Green Hydrogen Systems, and most recently, Ørsted has been hit by a serious crisis, primarily as a result of a number of challenges with the company's offshore wind projects in the USA.
