The country's 35 local electricity grid companies, in collaboration with Energinet, are now releasing consumption and production data via the Energy Data Service, including hourly electricity consumption per household and in selected industries.
To start with, this means that electricity traders, aggregators, researchers and other interested parties can delve into data for hourly electricity consumption per household divided by heating category and municipality, as well as hourly electricity consumption in a number of industries.
- With the data release, we are meeting a long-held wish from a number of players. I look forward to seeing how the data is used to benefit the green transition. Our hope is that various players can see opportunities in using the released data to offer new solutions for their customers, and preferably so that the electricity grid can be utilized even more efficiently, says Deputy CEO Mette Rose Skaksen from Green Power Denmark.
Within four weeks, four new data sets will be released, including with hourly electricity production divided by production type and municipality. They are published continuously on Energi Data Service.
You can find the released data here.
