DTU will establish the first full education at DTU Risø Campus when the Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Technology is scheduled to start in September 2026. This is what DTU writes.
The education is an important part of the development of Risø Gateway – an innovation and business park that DTU, Roskilde Municipality and Andel are developing east of DTU Risø Campus. The project will build bridges between research, education and industry and strengthen Denmark's position within green technology and innovation.
- Our vision is to create an international hotspot within energy and biotechnology on Risø with a focus on innovation, where leading researchers, students and companies can meet to develop, test and market test the green solutions of the future, says Anders Bjarklev, Rector of DTU.
Today, DTU Risø Campus is primarily a research campus with a focus on sustainable energy technologies and advanced testing facilities. Teaching has so far been limited to individual subjects and special courses, but with the new education, the first step is being taken towards establishing a real educational campus.
The first intake for the education in Industrial Technology is expected to be 30 students. The start-up requires approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
