Langesøvej in Kastrup on Amager has been closed off, and four entrances have been evacuated due to a torn gas pipe. This is according to Copenhagen Police Chief Dyre Sønnicksen. The gas pipe was torn off in connection with excavation work on the road. Copenhagen Police received the report at 1:14 p.m.
- The fire department has called the gas supply company Evida, which is on its way to the address to turn off the gas, says the chief of police.
A total of four entrances have been evacuated. However, the police have closed off the entire Langesøvej to prevent people from getting too close to the gas. There is no danger to other citizens, but if you smell gas, you should look further away, the duty officer says.
Tårnby Gymnasium is located close to Langesøvej, but the assessment is that the gas is diluted to a degree so that there is no danger on the high school grounds, it says.
