KERTEMINDE: A new report from the law firm Horten dumps Kerteminde Biogas' plant on all parameters. The company, which was previously run by former mayor Hans Luunbjerg, was built on invalid permits and therefore illegal, writes TV2 Fyn, which is in possession of the report.

According to Horten, both the rural zone permit, the environmental approval and the decision not to carry out a full environmental assessment are illegal and should be annulled.

The plant has been in focus in Kerteminde Municipality for a year and a half and is currently undergoing reconstruction to avoid bankruptcy. The reconstructor hopes for a quick and legal solution so that the municipality can issue new permits and thus save the plant. The alternative may be demolition of the plant. Neither Luunbjerg nor the municipality wishes to comment on the matter right now.
