ODSHERRED: The condition below the water surface in Nykøbing Sjælland, Rørvig and Odden Harbour is critical. A new study from Nordic Marine Service reveals rotten piles and damage caused by pile worms. According to the study, the foundations of several of the harbours' bridges are so degraded that there is a risk of collapse. At Rørvig Harbour, Langebro is already partially blocked off, and car traffic is prohibited. This is reported by TV2 Øst.
The municipality has spent approximately 20 million DKK on harbour maintenance in the past four years, but according to the Harbour Council, more funds are needed to correct years of neglect.
