KN Helicopters in Esbjerg, which, among other things, specializes in helicopter flights for offshore wind, has new owners after the international emergency and air ambulance group Avincis acquired the West Jutland company. This is reported by JydskeVestkysten.
- My business partner Karin Granhøj and I founded KN Helicopters with great dedication, hard work and belief in our strong business concept. We are very proud that we are becoming part of the Avincis Group today, which is a natural step in KN's development towards becoming an international market leader in offshore wind, co-founder Niels Peter Kjeldahl tells the local media.
The company was established in 2016 with its base at Esbjerg Airport and has won several contracts with Energinet and, among other things, service agreements at the offshore wind farms Horns Rev 3 and Kriegers Flak for Vattenfall. KN Helicopters currently has three Airbus H135s and one Airbus H145, which will now be part of Avincis' total portfolio of more than 200 aircraft. No price has been mentioned for the acquisition of KN Helicopters.
