RINGKØBING-SKJERN: A case of incompetence, where three left-wing politicians in Ringkøbing-Skjern were first declared incompetent by the municipality's own lawyers and then competent by the Danish Social Appeals Board, is now also coming before the Danish Social Appeals Board, reports Dagbladet Ringkøbing-Skjern. The disqualification applied to the location of biogas plants, where the city council in August said yes to a future plant in No and no to one in Ejstrup.
The company behind the Ejstrup company believed thatTechnical and Environmental Committee Chairman Ole Nyholm Knudsen (V) must be disqualified due to his position as director of Vestjysk Biogas ApS, which is partly owned by DBC Invest A/S, which is behind the No company. KL did not consider this to be a "close connection".
The fact that Rita Byskov's (V) spouse has interests in both plants, and that Marie Kamp From's father and brother have interests in one of the plants, did not make them disqualified, the KL lawyers found. It is city council member Niels Rasmussen (SF) who wants the cases tried a third time.
