FREDERICIA / NYBORG: There are significant changes in the management of the municipally owned company ADP, which operates the Ports of Fredericia and Nyborg as well as Middelfart Trafikhavn. Two members of the company's board of directors are stepping down. This concerns Jens Ellegaard Andersen and, more significantly, Erik Østergaard, who has been chairman of the board of directors of ADP for the past seven years. This is stated in a press release.
- The past 11 years have been a fantastic journey, where we have paved the way for the company's historic growth and strengthened competitiveness with a long-term strategy. Associated Danish Ports has never been stronger than today as a modern port and infrastructure company, says Erik Østergaard.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of ADP and Mayor of Fredericia Municipality, which owns the majority of ADP, Steen Wrist (S), thanks the two departing members and is also pleased that the Chairman of ADP's subsidiary Taulov Dry Port is ready to take over the chairmanship of the parent company as well.
- I naturally respect Erik Østergaard and Jens Ellegaard Andersen's wishes to step down from the board and pass the baton to new forces, but it will be a great legacy to carry on. They have both made a very appreciated and professional effort, for which I would like to thank them - Erik, in particular, as chairman for the past seven years has contributed to raising ADP to the level that the company is at today, says Steen Wrist, and continues:
- I am also pleased that Christian Herskind has agreed to stand as the new chairman. Christian has been a member of the board of directors of ADP since 2016, and Christian is a very special asset to Fredericia with both in-depth knowledge of the area and of ADP.
Proud incoming chairman
Christian Herskind will also continue as chairman of Taulov Dry Port. But looks forward to the new tasks in the main company.
- I am both happy and proud to be nominated as chairman of Associated Danish Ports A/S. It is no secret that Fredericia means something special to me, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the development of the company, which means a lot to the owner municipalities of Fredericia, Nyborg and Middelfart. As chairman of the board of directors of Taulov Dry Port A/S, I have followed the strategic development of the company in recent years, where Taulov Dry Port in particular has played a major role in the company's growth in recent years, says Christian Herskind.
Birgit Nørgaard and Gert Fisker Tomczyk will replace Jens Ellegaard Andersen and Erik Østergaard. Taulov Dry Port will also gain two new members and thus expand the board of directors by one member, as only Erik Østergaard is leaving here. The two new members are Michael Overgaard Andersen and Kasper Blinge Hansen.
The new chairman of the board and new members of the boards of directors of ADP and Taulov Dry Port will be officially elected at the general meeting on March 28.
