Former Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen will be part of the advisory board for the climate vocational school at Rybners in Esbjerg. He will thus become the last member of the six-person advisory body, which will strengthen the school's role in the green transition.
- The advisory board we have put together represents both professional depth, strategic insight and strong social commitment. With Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, we will be adding a unique combination of experience, local roots and political influence. This equips us even better to take on the important task we face with the climate vocational school, says Olaf Rye, CEO of Rybners, in a press release.
Poul Nyrup Rasmussen has been involved in community projects for many years with a special focus on the well-being of young people and the importance of skilled workers. Among other things, he founded the consultancy service headspace, is behind the project What Can I Be and is chairman of EuroSkills 2025, which is held in Herning. With his support for the climate vocational school, he emphasizes the necessity of skilled labor in climate work.
- It is with pleasure that I have agreed to become part of the advisory board for Rybner's climate vocational school. I am pleased to see the broad foundation that the board already has, and I look forward to jointly creating something great for the benefit of both the students, Esbjerg, the entire region and society. Denmark needs skilled labor if we are to succeed in driving the green transition, says Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, founder of Det Sociale Netværk/headspace Denmark and chairman of EuroSkills 2025.
In addition to Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, the advisory board consists of Morten Helveg Petersen, chairman of the board of SYNERGI, Peter Faber, union secretary of Dansk Metal, Dennis Jul Pedersen, port director of Esbjerg Havn, Signe Tychsen Philip, deputy director of Dansk Industri, and Troels Blicher Danielsen, CEO of TEKNIQ.
