Navantia Seanergies and Esbjerg-based company Semco Maritime are joining forces to meet the world's urgent need for reliable, sustainable and clean energy. Semco Maritime writes in a press release.

The partnership was presented at the WindEurope exhibition in Copenhagen on April 9. It was highlighted that the collaboration will combine the two companies' experience and technologies to design and build offshore substations with a focus on the entire life cycle of the assets. Navantia Seanergies contributes industrial capabilities, while Semco Maritime specializes in HVAC systems for offshore substations.

– Semco Maritime is a company with which we fully share our strategic vision and purpose. Thanks to this alliance, we will grow together in the offshore wind market and contribute to promoting the energy transition and decarbonization of society as well as Europe's energy independence. In the offshore substation segment, we will gain ground by leveraging both companies' synergies in the market and our complementary competencies, knowledge and cultures. Partnerships have been part of Navantia Seanergies’ strategy – for example the collaboration with Windar Renovables in offshore wind turbine foundations
says Javier Herrador, Vice President of Navantia Seanergies.

– This partnership marks a significant milestone for Semco Maritime as we continue to expand our presence in the offshore wind sector. By combining our extensive experience in HVAC offshore substations with Navantia Seanergies’ industrial capabilities, we are ready to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that meet the growing demand for clean energy. The new partnership will focus on projects in Europe and North America, and will therefore complement our existing partnership and collaboration with Vietnamese PTSC M&C, which covers the Asian market. We greatly value our partnership with PTSC M&C and remain focused on ensuring its continued success. We are excited about the opportunities that this new collaboration creates, and we are convinced that together we will set new standards in the industry
says Thomas Thomsen, senior vice president for Renewables at Semco Maritime.

The two companies jointly state that the collaboration will strengthen their positions in the offshore wind market and make them preferred partners for large energy projects in the future.
