Energy Cluster Denmark will continue as Denmark's national cluster organization for the energy sector until 2028. This is clear after the Danish Business Development Board has chosen to support Energy Cluster Denmark's work to help Danish companies and knowledge institutions with joint innovation projects.

The effort will support the development of the energy system of the future to 100 percent renewable energy - among other things by ensuring a green and secure energy supply.

The designation will include DKK 100 million for innovation in the sector. The money will be used, among other things, for 45 new innovation projects and will promote collaborations between companies and researchers on green solutions and the energy system of the future based on renewable energy.

The energy cluster is a well-oiled innovation machine with a great commitment from our members, and we have documentation that our innovation projects create concrete and lasting effects for our companies, for society and, not least, for the climate. We are therefore proud of the re-designation and the significant financial support that we can pass on to our members. Our role as the national energy cluster increases the value of the energy sector's joint innovative power, says Bo Svoldgaard, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Energy Cluster Denmark, in a press release.

Energy Cluster Denmark has over 500 members from the entire energy value chain and a project portfolio of over DKK 3 billion. The financial support comes from the EU's Regional Fund and the Finance Act via the Danish Business Development Agency. According to Glenda Napier, CEO of Energy Cluster Denmark, it is precisely the members of the energy cluster who are the key to new successes.

- With the new designation as an energy cluster, we have the support to engage well-known, but also new players, in Energy Cluster Denmark's activities, so that even more people take part in the joint innovation for the energy system of the future, she says.
