Argo hires new CEO at Energinet

Jeppe Danø will join Argo on 1 January 2026 as the new CEO. He comes from the position of Vice President of Energinet Systemansvar and will be responsible for leading Denmark's third largest waste and energy company into the next phase with a focus on energy utilization, circular economy and green transition.

- We have been looking for a CEO who can both ensure robust operations and drive development in a competitive waste and energy market. Jeppe Danø comes with extensive experience from energy and supply, strong leadership and a clear understanding of the demands that come with a socially critical task, says Tomas Breddam (S), Chairman of the Board of Argo, in a press release.

The coming years will be characterized by continued technological development, stricter requirements for resource utilization and an expectation that ARGO will both deliver stable operations and actively contribute to the green transition. . In addition, he will strengthen ARGO's position in a sector characterized by competitive exposure, rapid development and growing climate ambitions.

The company operates critical infrastructure and has a significant social responsibility in its work with energy utilization and circular economy. The transfer is planned so that operations and ongoing projects continue uninterrupted when Jeppe Danø takes office at the turn of the year.
