Companies, educational institutions and stakeholders in South and North Jutland can now apply for grants from a pool of DKK 250 million for the development of green technologies. The money comes from the Fund for Just Transition. This is according to the Danish Business Authority.

The technologies that can receive support include Power-to-X, which enables the conversion of renewable energy into hydrogen and other fuels, as well as brown biorefining such as pyrolysis, where biomass is converted into biofuels. In addition, projects focusing on CO2 capture, storage and utilisation (CCUS) can also apply for funding.

- We are now putting increased emphasis on the development of green growth in Denmark, because the potential is great thanks to our companies' green technologies and innovations. We hope that with this significant effort we can create green growth and new green jobs in South Jutland and North Jutland and reduce our emissions for the benefit of the entire country, says Peter Hansen, chairman of the recommendation committee of the Just Transition Fund.

Until 2027, the Just Transition Fund will invest DKK 636 million over several rounds in activities in North and South Jutland. The activities are intended to mitigate the negative effects of the transition to a climate-neutral economy.

The purpose of the support is to promote Denmark's competitiveness and contribute to the green transition. Projects can receive between DKK 5 and DKK 40 million. DKK in support, and the application deadline is October 10, 2025. The funds can be used for activities such as research and development, process innovation, equipment purchases and upskilling.
