RWE's board of directors has extended Markus Krebber's contract as CEO by five years. The agreement means that he will continue in the position until the end of June 2031. Krebber has been part of the energy group since 2012, became part of the executive board in 2016 and has been at the helm since 2021.
- With him as CEO, the company has a strong leader at the helm. He has purposefully positioned RWE for the energy landscape of the future and steered the group safely through geopolitical challenges and the energy crisis, says Frank Appel, chairman of the board of directors of RWE, in a press release.
Markus Krebber himself is also pleased that he will continue as head of the energy company.
