The restructuring could have extensive consequences for the founders Rasmus Lildholdt Kjær and Mark Augustenborg Ødum, who sold shares to their respective family companies in 2023. Both companies have debts to the founders, and a bankruptcy could lead to significant losses for both the founders and their families.
- The companies only have debts to the two founders of Better Energy. If Better Energy goes bankrupt, or if the value of the shares is erased, the two family companies that own them will be taken away, and the claims of Rasmus and Mark will be worthless, says Lars Kiertzner, state-authorized accountant.
