Allerød Municipality wants to motivate more companies to utilize their roof surfaces for solar cells. Therefore, the municipality is now launching a new solar cell portal, a solar cell guide and an opportunity to have a solar cell screening of the company's buildings done. The Sjællandske Medier.

Companies in the municipality can apply for a solar cell screening, which is carried out by an independent consulting firm. The screening will, among other things, provide insight into the company's energy consumption, possible savings and the possibilities for establishing solar cells on the building. After the review, the company will receive an action plan for how a solar cell system can be established on the roof.

- With the solar cell initiative, we will both inspire and make it easier for companies to choose solar cells. Solar energy on roofs is one of the most accessible forms of renewable energy, and we want to motivate concrete action. It is good for the climate, for the green transition and for local energy production, says Miki Dam Larsen, chairman of the Environment, Business and Urban Affairs Committee in Allerød Municipality.

The initiative is part of Allerød Municipality's climate plan. The goal here is, among other things, to increase green electricity production by 35,000 MWh by 2030.
