Next Wednesday, the Energy Island Forum will present the first roadmap for energy islands, entitled "Making Energy Islands a Success", at the European Parliament in Brussels. MEP Niels Fuglsang and MEP Borys Budka are hosting the event. Baltic Energy Island writes on LinkedIn.
– The roadmap highlights the most critical actions to make energy islands a success, from the implementation of the first energy islands in the early 2030s to long-term innovation efforts towards 2050, which will ensure cost-effectiveness, reliability and integration of energy islands into the energy systems of the future, says Nicolaos A. Cutululis, Chairman of the Energy Island Forum and Professor at the Technical University of Denmark.
The document has been prepared through a unique collaboration between universities, leading industrial companies, transmission operators (TSOs) and green energy organizations. The aim is to highlight how cooperation can overcome the challenges of energy efficiency and make it a cornerstone of Europe's green transition.
The plan will be presented by Nicolaos A. Cutululis during the event.
