Thor Möger Pedersen has found a new job after he stepped down as commercial director of the troubled energy company Better Energy in February. The former tax minister for SF will be the CEO of the company Donkey Republic, which rents out city bikes in eight European countries. 40-year-old Thor Möger Pedersen replaces Niels Henrik Rasmussen, who is stepping down of his own accord, and he is looking forward to the task of scaling up the business further.
- High-quality bike sharing must be a central part of modern urban infrastructure, and our world-class platform and our talented team are ready to deliver. When we expand our fleet, we expect a stronger unit economy and better financial results, says Thor Möger Pedersen.
After his time as minister, he changed parties and jobs and became head of the Social Democrats' political department. He has also worked with green energy at the consulting engineering company Cowi before joining the management of Better Energy in December 2022.
Donkey Republic facilitated 8.4 million bike rides last year and generated revenue of 146.5 million kroner. The company's fleet consists of more than 21,000 bikes, and Donkey Republic achieved a positive operating result for the first time last year.
