The world is more uncertain than ever, and this affects both society, citizens and companies. To strengthen the role of the business community in the work with societal security and preparedness, the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) is establishing a new unit to support companies in preventing and handling crises, threats and hybrid warfare.
- A strong preparedness is about being able to prevent, handle and quickly recover from crises, incidents and threats. This is crucial for the robustness of both society and the business community, as it affects the operations of companies and the functioning of society, says Morten Høyer, political director of the Confederation of Danish Industry, in a press release.
The new unit will be headed by Rasmus Anderskouv. He comes from a position as head of policy development at DI and has 25 years of experience from the organization, where he, among other things, headed DI's corona efforts. The new department will pool efforts and create a single entry point for cooperation between authorities and companies in the area of emergency preparedness.
Rasmus Anderskouv looks forward to leading the work and emphasizes that emergency preparedness is one of the most central areas for both companies and politicians in the coming years.
- Emergency preparedness is one of the most important areas right now, both politically and in companies. Our assessment is that it should have a dedicated effort, and I am happy to be allowed to lead this work for the benefit of companies and their contribution to security, says Rasmus Anderskouv.
