Catrin Jung takes over the position of head of the wind area and becomes part of the group management.
5. JUN 2025 14.40

Catrin Jung will be the new head of the Wind business area at Vattenfall, which includes activities within offshore wind, onshore wind, large-scale solar energy and battery projects. She will take up the position on 1 July and replaces Helene Biström, who has chosen to leave the company. This is reported by Vattenfall.

Jung has been part of Vattenfall since 2002 and has held several leadership roles with a focus on strategy and market development. She was most recently responsible for Offshore Wind, where she has been at the forefront of some of the company's largest investments in recent years.

- I am pleased to welcome Catrin as head of BA Wind and as a member of the Group Executive Board. She brings strong leadership, deep industry insight and a clear, forward-looking vision – rooted in a solid understanding of the challenges of the real world. I am convinced that she will play a central role in advancing our strategic ambitions, says Anna Borg, CEO of Vattenfall.

Catrin Jung will become part of the company's Executive Group Management and will report directly to Vattenfall's CEO, Anna Borg.

- I am honored to take on this role. In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to stay focused on our goal of fossil-freedom. By working closely with our customers, suppliers and stakeholders, we can meet the new challenges and create meaningful solutions that shape a sustainable and competitive future energy system,
says Catrin Jung, CEO of Vattenfall's business area Wind.
