The board of directors of Rambøll has appointed Christian Jensby as the new CEO of the Rambøll Group. He will take up his new position no later than May 1. The company announced this in a press release to Ritzau.
Christian Jensby replaces Jens-Peter Saul, who has been CEO of Rambøll since 2012. At the beginning of December last year, it was announced that the consulting engineering company would say goodbye to Saul once a replacement had been found. This was done on the grounds that the company is approaching its next strategy period.
According to Chairman of the Board Claus V. Hemmingsen, it requires a new CEO, "who can both develop and execute the strategy in the coming years", he said in a press release.
The German Jens-Peter Saul was behind Rambøll's current strategy from 2022, which placed extra focus on green transition and set out to become the world leader in this area.
Christian Jensby comes from a position as CEO and partner in the consulting firm Deloitte Denmark. He has been employed here since 2011. For the past three years, he has been CEO.
- I see good opportunities for further growth and enormous potential for the positive impact that Rambøll can have on customers and society. I look forward to contributing to Rambøll's continued success, says the new CEO in the press release.
Rambøll notes that Jensby has created growth in revenue and earnings at Deloitte, and that he has advised top management in international companies.
In a press release, Deloitte confirms that Jensby is leaving the consultancy, which will present a new CEO during the first quarter of the year.
Rambøll was founded in Denmark in 1945. The company has more than 18,000 employees worldwide and activities in 35 countries. In addition to sustainability, the company advises on construction, transport, the environment, energy and management, among other things. It is owned by the Rambøll Foundation, which holds 98 percent of the shares. The remaining two percent is owned by employees.
